EAST ANGLIAN FIRM'S DOUBLE DELIGHT OVER HAYLEY'S SUCCESS

An independent financial adviser has reached one of the highest levels of professional excellence
An independent financial adviser from Norfolk has reached one of the highest levels of professional excellence in UK financial services.
Hayley Tink has become a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, the highest academic designation of the PFS, which is only awarded to about two per cent of the country's financial advisers.
Her achievement completes a notable 'double' for Norwich-based Almary Green Investments, which now has two Fellows of the PFS among its team of 13 East Anglian advisers. Colleague Russell Hall, 40, became a Fellow of both the PFS and the Chartered Insurance Institute six years ago.
Fellowship of the PFS is awarded to individuals whose professional studies have extended beyond the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, typically by completing additional Diploma and Advanced Diploma exams.
Only 543 of the 26,420 PFS members are Fellows, and are described by the society as having "demonstrated a commitment to excellence and professionalism".
Ms Tink, 32, has worked in financial services for 10 years since gaining a first-class honours degree at the University of East Anglia.
She has been an IFA since 2004 and provides advice in all areas of financial planning, holding specialist qualifications in the areas of care fees planning, pensions and retirement advice. She is also a Chartered Financial Planner.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to have achieved Fellow status and it means a great deal to me both personally and professionally. Having reached the highest possible level of qualification, I feel the years of hard study have now at last paid off!" said Ms Tink.
"Professionally, I can feel confident that the advice I provide to Almary Green clients is backed by the not insignificant knowledge I have built up while studying for these qualifications. It also provides a benchmark so that consumers know what to look for when seeking independent financial advice."
Almary Green managing director Carl Lamb said: "Our firm now has five chartered advisers, two of whom are also Fellows of the Personal Finance Society, and I'm extremely proud of Almary Green's highly qualified and vibrant regional team. Hayley is to be heartily congratulated on her remarkable achievement.
"We have a policy of encouraging our advisers to further their education through ongoing training and formal qualifications. It benefits them, it benefits the firm and, most importantly, it benefits the clients we serve."
Almary Green Investments, based in Meridian Way, Norwich, has grown from a staff of two to 25 in just eight years and has 5000 clients and £180 million worth of funds under management. The firm now has 13 IFAs in Norfolk, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Ipswich and Cambridgeshire.
